The Sheridan en Cooper City senior living (2023)

I went to see Sheridan in Cooper City. The staff was very nice, informative and on top of things. She was good. The location was nice and convenient. It wasn't as close to me as some of the other facilities, but it also didn't offer the ability to care for my mother. They had a gym, lounge, areas to do different crafts and different areas to watch movies and entertainment to keep you busy if you wanted. The facility looked very clean. There was a small shopping center next door that might have been convenient for them.

When I visited The Sheridan in Cooper City, there were quite a few residents who had COVID, so there weren't a lot of actual people living there because a lot of them were in their rooms. Some people were isolated due to the COVID outbreak so I don't think I have a good idea of ​​what it would be like under normal circumstances. The lady who took me was punctual, she was very helpful and showed me all the areas. It was very clean and a very nice facility. The dining room was nice and they had activities going on all day. They have a lot of physical therapy on site and that kind of thing too. I saw the list of activities but due to the COVID outbreak it was very quiet there and not many residents. Some residents were sitting in the lobby, but other than that, all the rooms where the activities would take place were empty due to the COVID outbreak. I didn't get a good picture of what it would look like on a normal day.

The Sheridan in Cooper City is a good complex. They are more expensive than what we chose, but they have very good apartments. The place is very good, the best on the market, it is clean, it is new and it is only 2 years old. It's convenient, sets up correctly, and has a luxurious feel. Nice people. And I have the impression that the people there are a little more qualified and capable. The vendor there was top notch. I didn't eat there, but I looked at the dining room and the menu. I saw residents taking an exercise class on the assisted living side. On the memory care side, they were playing some games like matching games and the like.

The Sheridan in Cooper City is a great complex. I moved my mother there because it was the cleanest and most immaculate place and they had the friendliest staff. All the people who work there are very nice. There are no contests. She's in a 1 bedroom, you have to have your own furniture, but other than that she looks good. They have a lot of live entertainment, they bring singers, pianists and trumpet players and they have a grill outside. They also take residents to places like Walmart on their bus and offer a class upstairs. The dining room is open plan and all meals are included. The food is average, not really spectacular, but perfectly fine.

I have been to Sheridan's twice. I wasn't impressed with the food, but everyone was very friendly and the apartment was really nice. I was shown a one bedroom room and it was an adequate size.

The Sheridan in Cooper City was fantastic. The only thing is that it is private. It's huge, it's new, it's beautiful, it's perfect. Everybody wants to be there. They have a waiting list of millions of kilometers. They had everything you can imagine and then some. The food looked fantastic. They were very knowledgeable. However, they must be private for the first few years and then they can apply for all incentives, such as Medicare/Medicaid.

I visited the Sheridan in Cooper City and everyone was very nice. The facilities were excellent, new and clean. It's not a huge place, which is good because those who live there can make friends and see different people in their daily lives. The families of the residents are in the same financial situation as my mother, so she would be a good fit there. I have nothing negative to share about this facility or the person who gave me the tour. They followed me up several times to see if I had any additional questions.

My husband lives at The Sheridan, which opened last November. It is very clean, very modern and the staff is wonderful. They are friendly and professional. The rooms are large, there are no impediments, the ceilings are high, and the walls are well spaced for wheelchair access. They have so many activities, they have physical and mental activities every day, they have arts and crafts, and they go on excursions. They have specific religious activities and happy hour once a week.

I visited the Sheridan because I am looking for a place for my aunt and uncle. The first time I was there I was greeted by Stacy. She is very knowledgeable and visibly excited about the property, she was contagious. She took the time to explain her processes and took me on a tour of the property. The second time I was there, I showed it to my aunt and uncle. During that visit, Ryan showed us around. He is also very knowledgeable and excited about the property. He spent time chatting with my uncle, which I appreciated. The rooms are a good size, although they do not have a lot of storage space. However, there is enough space to add your own storage. The memory care unit is well maintained and they have plenty of activities to keep them busy. The same applies to the assisted seating area. I saw plenty of staff available and the residents seemed happy and cheerful. It is also very clean, which is a big plus for me. It's a bit pricey, but it's only a few months old and everything is brand new. I recommend this establishment.

I really liked the Sheridan in Cooper City. The ladies were exceptional. The young lady, Mandy, helped me a lot. She was wonderful. The facility was beautiful. It was absolutely beautiful. It was exactly where you would want to place a family member. It was well maintained. The staff were lovely. All the people who lived there were very happy. It was really good. I visited the kitchen and everything looked beautiful and smelled delicious. They had a beauty salon, barber shop and infirmary.

We chose the Sheridan in Cooper City for my mom. Is incredible. The only drawback is that it is quite expensive, but the service is good. The staff is excellent. The facility itself is relatively new. He's only a couple of years old. It is very close to our neighborhood and it takes maybe less than 10 minutes to get there. The main reason we went there is that they are allowing visitors, while due to COVID none of the qualified nurses recommended for their previous rehab hospital were not allowing us to visit them or even look at the facility and they are not allowing family visits. , either indoors or outdoors. And I thought there was no way I was going to do that. The staff were very welcoming, very friendly and very efficient. Part of my mom's room is better than my house. Especially her bathroom, it's bigger and better than my bathroom at home, so I joke with her that I'll move in with her. I did not expect this. There is a kitchen area, it has a full size fridge freezer and sink, and then there is a living room with some kind of small sofa and a coffee table. Then there is another bedroom which is the bedroom with a wonderful flat screen tv which is quite large and then a huge bathroom with a large vanity and mirror and then you go further there is a bathroom a walk in shower floor. and then a big closet. It's like a home environment and not a hospital environment. Is it clean. They have activities. My mom has a bracelet to squeeze if she needs something and sometimes it takes her a long time to get an answer about it. It is all I know. The food is good. There is a good variety. She seems to be happy with her food. Another place is the ground where we can take the patients outside. They have a garden area and also lake view. You can go outside and see the garden and see the lake. It is beautiful garden.

I liked The Sheridan at Cooper City just as much as the one we ended up choosing, but this one costs a lot more. It was like a hotel, it's a big apartment complex that's one building. When you walk in it's beautiful with marble floors and you see the dining room right away. They have a restaurant type dining room where people can order whatever they want. They had almost everything, but I don't think they had a pool. It's really nice, and the setup is that you can share an apartment or get your own apartment. The staff was very friendly and very professional. They had a garden area outside and they did some gardening there. They had a theater room, the dining room was beautiful with tablecloths and fine china, it's very beautiful. The apartments were very nice, modern and up to date, and a good size. They had 1 bedrooms, 2 bedrooms and you could share that if you wanted, and they also had studios that were $6500-$7000, which I was interested in. The studio is basically just a room with a bathroom and a closet. Their rooms were pretty good compared to other places I've been to.

The Sheridan in Cooper City was not clean and not really memory care oriented. My mom couldn't go out or anything like that. There's no way they're going outside unless everyone else is, and my mom loves being outside. It was very important to me that she had a safe place while she was away, but this place doesn't provide that. The people in memory care were more convalescent while my mom was still very active, so that's another downside. The tour itself was fine. Cleanliness is definitely a big issue that they should improve, the place felt like an institution.
